She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Shepherd and Susan Conley Shepherd; her daughter Dorothy Hamilton; her stepson Robbie Chaffins; and her siblings, Norman, Mitchell, Max, Arthur, Jack, Callie Shepherd, Mable Shepherd, Mary Little, Madeline Patrick, Wanda Hutchinson and Marie Taylor.
She is survived by: her husband Allen Chaffins; her daughters, Kathy Prater (Mike) of David, KY, Cindy Porter (Steve) of Langley, KY and Breonna Vanderpool of Salt Lick, KY; her stepchildren, Peggy Martin (Glenn) of Dry Creek, KY, Beverly Samons of Martin, KY, Trish Buchanan (Dustin) of Sylva, NC, Roby Chaffins of Wayland, KY and Todd Chaffins (Kelly) of Louisville, KY; her brother Marvin Shepherd (Janet) of Salt Lick, KY; and her caregiver Janette Chaffins. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
