She was predeceased by: her parents, William Cuthbert "Bert" and Carrie Patton McNabb; her husband James B. Howard; and her grandsons, Steven Hardin and Raymond "R. B.".
She is survived by: her children, Twila Hardin (Thomas) and James V. Howard (Nellie); her sister Mildred McKee; her grandchildren, Will Hardin (Tammy), Chrissy Hardin (Allen), Carrie Howard, Whitney Goldy (Austin) and Aaron Howard; her granddaughters-in-law, Regina Hardin and Jamie Hardin; and her nephew Russell Carter (Brenda). She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
