He is survived by: his wife Merley McNabb Howard; his children, James V. Howard (Nellie) and Twila Hardin (Tommy); his grandchildren, Chrissy Hardin (Allen), Carrie Howard, Aaron Howard, Steven Hardin (Genie), Will Hardin (Tammy) and Whitney Goldie (Austin); and his nephew Russell Carter (Brenda). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
