He was predeceased by: his parent Alleen Purvis Crouch; his former wife Nina McConnell Purvis; his stepson Ricky McConnell; his nephew Jeffery Purvis; his brother-in-law Albert Stiddom; and his cousins, Walter Cassity and Sue Young.
He is survived by: his wife Inita Kay Purvis; his son Farley Jason Purvis (Tasha) of Owingsville; his stepchildren, Tommy McConnell of Minnesota and Tammy Bailey (Eddie) of Owingsville; his sister Lana Stiddom of Owingsville; his grandchildren, Ryan Purvis and Lyric Purvis; his nieces, Rhonda Willis (Earl) of Owingsville and Alaina Spence (Travis) of Owingsville; and his cousins, Mae Bollherfer (Rick) of Marion and Manuel Goodpaster (Cheryl) of Wabash, Indiana..
