He is survived by: his sons, Chase Lee Hardin and Gavin Troy Flener; his sister Nancy Ward; his wife Lori Helton Hardin; his children, Michael Hardin of Owingsville, KY, Della Iker of Owingsville, KY, Angela King, Samantha Esteppe of Camargo, KY, Serena Hardin of Owingsville, KY, Scarlett Carpenter of Salt Lick, KY, Aimee Stiddom of Owingsville, KY, Mckenna Hardin of Salt Lick, KY and Jensen Hardin of Salt Lick, KY; his adoptive children, Aaliyah Hardin, Olivia Hardin and Erica Hardin; and his siblings, Ellen McCarty, Barbara Staton, Judy Wolford, Roger Hardin, Tommy Hardin and Joe Hardin. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
