He was predeceased by: his parents, George Stamper of Washington and Cloey Elizabeth McGlone Stamper; his sons, Bobby Allen Stamper, Jr. and Anthony Lee Stamper; his siblings, Junior, Bill, Harlan, Calvin, James Stamper, Cova Frazier Garvin, Janet Raye Lewis Stone and Myrtle McGlone; and his son-in-law Jimmy McGuire.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Cline Stamper; and his children, Richard Allen "Ricky" Stamper (Vickie) of Olive Hill, Johnny Wade Stamper (Donna) of Soldier and Lisa Dawn McGuire of Morehead. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
