With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Powell of Salt Lick, Kentucky, who passed away on October 27, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Barbara leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Barbara may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Beckham Perry and Alma Johnson Perry; her husband Minor C. Powell, Jr.; and her siblings, Carolyn Triplett, Betty Feltz, Rosemary Stull, Charlotte Holland and Bobby Crouch.
She is survived by: her son Walter Calvin Powell of Morehead, KY; her siblings, Billy Perry of Middletown, OH and Marcella Rose of Frenchburg, KY; and her sister-in-law Illene Powell of Salt Lick, KY. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home (39 Main St, Salt Lick, KY 40371). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
