He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Lewis and Rosie Pearl Miller Lewis; and his brothers, John Larry Lewis, Lonnie Lewis, Gene Lewis, Jackie Lewis, Clyde Lewis and Bill Lewis.

He is survived by: his sister Mildred Lewis of Salem; and his stepsons, Rodney Little of La Center, Randy Little of Marion and Brady Little. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
