It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kelly Lynn Gater of Salem, Kentucky, born in Salem, Indiana, who passed away on February 21, 2024, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Charles Gater; her grandparents, Lotus Garriott, Oscar, Lucille Gater and Geneva Garriott; her great-grandparent Mazo Mead; and her aunts and uncles, Gary Gater, Lyle Milner, Norma Rison and Shari Gater.
She is survived by: her mother Karen Gater of Owensboro; her sister Teresa Smith (Gary) of Cloverport; her nieces, Emily, Rebecca Smith of Louisville and Cara Pence (Seth) of Owensboro; her aunt Carol Ann Milner of Bismarck, IL; and her cousins, Mike Jackson, Lisa Johnson (Dave) of Williamsport and Traci Hill (Dave) of Vincennes, Indiana..
