He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Cherry and Blanche Rafferty Cherry. He is survived by: his wife Janie J. Harris-Cherry of Pembroke; his daughter Jada Sager (Mark) of Alexandra, VA; his stepdaughters, Ruth Hawes (Lucius) of Hopkinsville and Sherry Byerline of Pembroke, KY; his sister June Schreiner; and his grandsons, Jeremy Sager, Nathan Sager and Kevin Pierce. He is also survived by his five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his honor to either Pennyroyal Hospice or Salem Baptist Church.
