He was predeceased by: his father Verner Green; his wife Bessie Lou Scott Green; his daughter Phyllis Gayle Green; his granddaughter Joy Ann Green; and his stepgrandson Anthony McPherson.
He is survived by: his children, Shernell Lowry (Panuel) of Rockvale, TN, Evelyn Jones (Gregory) of Salem, KY and Scott Green (Donna) of Earlington, KY; his grandchildren, James R. Lowry, Kevin N. Lowry, Jessica Jones, Nathaniel Jones and Sarah Jones; and his stepgrandchildren, Stacy Howard and Cindy Clark. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren; six step great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
