He was predeceased by: his siblings, Mildred Hurley, Tula Nelson, L. E. "Buck" McDonald, Gordon McDonald, Joe McDonald and Trice McDonald; and his parents, Arthur McDonald and Grace Belt McDonald.
He is survived by: his wife Willa W. Workman McDonald of Carrsville, KY; his children, Duran McDonald (Sam) of Carrsville, Darrell McDonald (DeAnna) of Carrsville and Anita McDonald of Carrsville; and his grandchildren, Amanda Bridges (Garrett), Travis McDonald (Chassity), Alexa Black, Sy McDonald and Eli McDonald. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
