He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Benedict and Ruby Margaret Dant Alvey; and his brothers, Joseph William "Dink" Alvey, James Garland Alvey, Clarence Alvie Alvey, Terrance Wayne Alvey and Gerard Donald Alvey.
He is survived by: his siblings, Joyce Mattingly (Roger) of Saint Francis, Ina Steele (Ron) of San Antonio, TX, Peggy Lyvers (Wayne) of Shepherdsville, Marilyn Newton (Raymond) of Balltown, Debbie Rucker (Danny) of West Columbia, John Thomas "Tobin" Alvey of Indianapolis and Tony Alvey, Sr. of Saint Francis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
