He was predeceased by: his parents, John Marion "Keg" and Lucille Mattingly; his daughter Kathy Joe Kidwell; his brother Bob; his siblings-in-law, Rowena, Fay, Charlotte, Karen Mattingly, Leslie Newton and Bob Veech; his nephews, Jim Mattingly and Leonard Clark; and his niece Christy Mattingly.
He is survived by: his wife Andrea; his daughter Rebecca Ballard; his grandchildren, Paige of Bardstown and Courtney Ballard of Bardstown; his son Dallas Mattingly of Loretto; his siblings, Deacon Tom Mattingly of Lebanon, Jim Mattingly of Lawrenceburg, Nita Veech of Bardstown, Ann Darragh (Bill) of Louisville, Steve Mattingly (Jan) of Franklin, GA, Faye Newton of Bardstown, John Mattingly (Debbie) of Munfordville, Bill Mattingly of Saint Francis, Mike Mattingly (Jackie) of Saint Francis, Marie Kelly (Earl) of Cedar Bluff, AL, Jeannie Kelty (Bill) of Stanford and Joe Mattingly of Bardstown; and his sister-in-law Lola Mattingly of Lubbock, TX..
