He was predeceased by: his son Joseph Christopher Mattingly; his parents, Joseph Eugene and Catherine Leora Mattingly Bickett; and his brothers, William Arnold and Richard Lee "Porky" Bickett.
He is survived by: his children, Terri Lynn Sester (Gary Curtis) of Bardstown, Amanda Bickett of Bradfordsville and Jonathan Bickett (Kirsten) of Saint Mary's; his grandchildren, Cameron, Kaylee Mattingly, John and Jamy Bickett; his great grandchild Kayden; and his siblings, Cathy Thompson (Harold) of Raywick, Ruthie Bickett of Hodgenville and Jerry "Spencer" Bickett (Rebecca) of New Hope.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mattingly Funeral Home (195 Holy Cross Rd, Loretto, KY 40037). A prayer was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church (108 Main St, Raywick, KY 40060).
