He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilliam Levi and Lizzie Marion Poole (Rust); his son Earl Ray Poole; and his siblings, Elmer Clarance Poole, James Russell Poole, Ather Glenn Poole, Marion Thomas Poole, Herbert Poole, Charles Poole, Fred Poole, Clifford Poole, Ollie May Bohlen, Frances Rainwaters and Betty Lou Dean.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his sons, Danny Wayne Poole (Kathy) of Bowling Green, Walter Poole, Jr. (Lorie) of Bowling Green and Timmy Poole of Russellville; his siblings, Nolan Poole of Bowling Green, Herman Poole (Bonnie) of Auburn, Ralph Poole (Elaine) of Bucksville, Marilyn Stevens of Russellville, Rosie Pyrtle of Decatur, Viola Jane Zeller (Jim) of Dayton and Dorothy Louis Mullen of Auburn; his grandchildren, Mary Beth Houchens (Blake) and Cecily Poole (Dustin); and his great grandchildren, Nichalus Poole, Dexter Houchens, Kiera Humble and Maddie Crafton.
