He was predeceased by: his father Herbert Wayne Blythe; and his grandparents, Herbert and Emma Blythe. He is survived by: his mother Terry Ann Huffman (Hall) of Auburn; his grandparents, Howard "Pig" and Gladys Hall; his wife Elaine Blythe; his children, Colby Blythe of Russellville, Sean Guffy of Bowling Green, Allie Blythe Pardue (Kyle) of Bowling Green and Emily Guffy of Louisville; and his brother Lee Blythe (Jill) of Auburn.

The family asks that donations be made to the Skin Cancer Foundation or the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation.
