He was predeceased by: his parents, Waymond Blakey, Sr. and Pauline Blakey (Tisdale); and his siblings, David H. Blakey, Waymond Blakey Jr., Judith Blakey, Betty Pike, Robert Blakey, Joe Blakey, Tony Blakey, Lois Beard and James Blakey.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Ewing Blakey of Bowling Green; his children, John William Blakey Jr. (Cara) of Texas, Mark Ewing (Jonie) of Russellville, Brian Blakey (Misty) of Oklahoma, Tracie Blakey of Bowling Green and Stephanie Ewing of Russellville; and his siblings, Barry Blakey (Sharon) of Bowling Green and Martha Blakey of Auburn. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren ang 13 great grandchildren.
