He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Southerland and Aylene Welborn Southerland; his wife Jean L Johnson Southerland; his siblings, Jimmy Southerland, Clayborn Southerland and Sybil Jeffers; and his great grandchild Ashlynn Smith.
He is survived by: his sons, Steve Southerland (Brenda), Russellville and Somerset; his grandchildren, Amy Douglas (Jarrod), Greenville and Somerset; his great grandchildren, Amberlynn Douglas, Claire Riggs and Sawyer Riggs; and his great great grandchildren, Lilah Smith and Selah Smith.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Summers and Son Funeral Home (210 Thurston Dr, Russellville, KY 42276). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
