He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Edward and Dorothy Irene Epley (Talley); his children, Jason Epley and Trudy Hales; his brother Floyd Edward Epley, Jr.; and his son-in-law Mark Noel.
He is survived by: his wife Dena Epley; his children, James Epley, Jr. of Russellville, Diane Burchett (Benny) of Russellville, Danyelle Noel of Campbellsville and Rebecca Dykema (James) of Russellville; and his siblings, Jerry Wayne Epley (Agnes) of Franklin, Tommy Epley of Auburn, Samuel Epley (Susie) of Russellville, Tony Dale Epley (Kimberly) of Franklin, Martha Bell Murry (Ronnie) of Franklin, Linda Farmer (Harold) of LaVergne, TN, Mary Hamilton of Hodgenville and Ruby Thompson (Tommy) of Portland. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
The family ask that donations be made to the Young Funeral Home to help with the burial expenses.
