He was predeceased by: his parents, Bluford Coursey and Bertie Eddings Coursey; and his siblings, James Coursey, Lena Mae Underwood and Virginia Lucille Anderson.

He is survived by: his son Jason Coursey of Lewisburg, KY; his stepsons, Micheal Skipworth of Carmon, MO and Robert Skipworth of Lewisburg, KY; and his siblings, Maurice Coursey, Bevia Nell Brown of Russellville, KY and Dottie Lane Bego. He is also survived by 4 grand children; 5 great grand children.
