He was predeceased by: his parents, Marjorie Mabry and Cordell Hull Mathis; and his siblings, Mabry D. Mathis and Helen Forkum. He is survived by: his wife Jane Hampton; his children, Charles Hull Mathis Jr. (Melissa), Stephen Nelson Mathis, Mary Lynn Mathis J. D. and Dr. Marjorie Jane Mathis (Janie); and his granddaughter Totty Elizabeth Mathis.
