He was predeceased by: his parents, William McKinley and Onie Mae Brown (Marshall); and his siblings, Haden Brown, Alma Head and Wilma Reid.

He is survived by: his wife Lucie Brown; his children, Vicky Gaines (Randy) of Russellville and Michael Brown (Lori) of Auburn; and his sister Helen Rogers of Russellville. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
