He was predeceased by: his parents, Nolan Vaughan and Alva Hackworth Vaughan; his brother Walter Douglas Vaughan; and his half-sister Wilma Jane Jayne. He is survived by: his wife Judi Steed Vaughan; his daughter Dawn Vaughan; his granddaughter Brittneyann; his grandson-in-law Milad Modarresi (Delaney Hetzer) of Chesapeake; and his sisters, Elaine Gregg (Bob) of Forth Worth, Linda Clouse (David) of Cookeville and Judy Ann Vaughan of Leander, Kentucky. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel (807 S Mayo Trail, Paintsville, KY 41240). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at the Highland Memorial Park (551 Kentucky Rte 2275, Staffordsville, KY 41256).
