With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert L. Sturgill of Russell, Kentucky, born in Lexington, Kentucky, who passed away on January 7, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Lee and Willie Jane Beam Sturgill; his wife Rosemary Rankin Sturgill; his son Robert L. Sturgill, Jr.; and his siblings, Paul Sturgill, Mary Phillips and Charlotte Woodward.
He is survived by: his children, Jane Leake (Paul) of Atlanta, GA, Mary Young (Jeff) of Catlettsburg, KY, Kathy Riddle (Joe) of Columbus, OH and Jim Sturgill (Edyee) of Bowling Green, KY; his brothers, Hugh Sturgill of Boone, NC and David Sturgill of Lexington, KY; and his grandchildren, Adam Young, Andrew Leake, Emilee Young Sexton, Rob Riddle, Abby Leake, Carson Sturgill and Savanna Sturgill. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
