He is survived by: his wife Catherine Hughes (Creech); his sister Carolyn Hankins (Rick) of Tampa; his son Jeremy Mills of Catlettsburg; his stepdaughter Julie Green Pettey (Mark); his stepgrandsons, Hunter and Harrison of Mobile, Alabama.; and his aunts, Ruth Clephane and Judy Tackett. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
