She was predeceased by: her parents, Loraine Wilhoite Herron and James "Jim" Herron; her former husband John Rutledge; and her brother Emory "Buddy" Herron. She is survived by: her husband Russell Edwards; her children, Tina Thomas (Greg Watkins) of Lexington, Justin Edwards of London and Travis Edwards of Lexington; her grandchildren, Tia Kling-Lockwood, Houston Edwards Thomas, Tara Edwards, Ivy Abshire and Jeffrey Hendren; her great grandchildren, Gracelyn Lockwood, Leila Lockwood, Kenedee Lockwood, Theo Thomas and Charleston Thomas; and her sister Carolyn Hampton (Alvin) of Lexington.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home (320 W Main St, Georgetown, KY 40324).
