He was predeceased by: his father Avery Meece; his wife Ethel Meece (Chapman); and his siblings, Afteel Dayette Smith (Charles Bascum), Isla Gladys Smith (Ernest) and Dwight Cromwell Meece (Doris).
He is survived by: his brother Avery Roger Meece (Mary Ellen) of Noblesville; and his niece Charlene Harris of Russell Springs, Kentucky.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
