We are sad to announce that on July 9, 2023, at the age of 80, Stanley Wayne Baird of Russell Springs, Kentucky, born in Williamsburg, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Baird and Marie Criscillis Baird; his parents-in-law, William Fred and Eula Mae Smith; his brothers, Jacky Baird and Chester Baird; and his sister-in-law Glenda Baird.
He is survived by: his wife Velma Smith Baird of Russell Springs; his children, Sharon Coe (Buddy) of Jamestown and Randy Baird (Bethany) of Russell Springs; his grandchildren, Megan Buthelezi (Sicelo "Stitch") of Russell Springs, Nicholas Coe (Whitney) of Columbia, Logan Smith (Hunter) of Russell Springs and Ashton Baird of Russell Springs; his great grandchildren, Aubree Buthelezi, Deklynn Coe, Asher Coe and Parker Smith; his brothers, Croley Baird (Linda) of Russell Springs, Larry Baird of Russell Springs and Robert Baird of West Chester, Ohio; and his sisters-in-law, Myrna Baird of Cincinnati and Pat Baird of West Chester, Ohio. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Wayne's family requests memorial contributions be made to Square Oak Separate Baptist Church Building Fund, 176 E. Old Jamestown Road, Russell Springs, KY 42642, or to Gideon's International. Donations can be made at the funeral home.
