It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ray Barrett of Russell Springs, Kentucky, born in Winslow, Indiana, who passed away on January 18, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelda Drew Barrett and Riley Barrett; and his siblings, D. C., Tom Barrett, Wanda Ramache, Thelma Jean Austin and Hyla Wathem.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Blair Barrett; his daughters, Lana Schmett (Dean) of Evansville, IN and Amy Leach (Robert) of Anderson, IN.; his stepchildren, Diana Porter of Russell Springs, Darrin Blair (Melissa) of Russell Springs and Kenny Luttrell of Russell Springs; and his granddaughter Chelsea Potts. He is also survived by 12 loving grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
