It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph McGowan of Russell Springs, Kentucky, who passed away on February 8, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wesley and Dona Elizabeth Stephens McGowan; his daughter Donna Rachelle McGowan; and his siblings, Chester L. McGowan, J. W. McGowan, James McGowan, Jeanette McGee, Lena Wright, Adelene Keith, Clara Hatfield, Hester Evans, Roberta Grossman and Fern Shepherd.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vanessa Baker (Mark) of Jabez and Amanda Rosa (Raul) of Russell Springs; his close friend Wanda Maynard of Russell Springs; and his siblings, Leonard R. McGowan of Ohio and Zella Wilson of Science Hill. He is also survived by thirty-nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
