He was predeceased by: his parents, Medley Thompson and Norma Hillman Thompson; his wife Lacy Thompson; his son Christopher Timothy Thompson; and his brother Scotty Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Brent Cossett (Tonya) of Stone Mountain, Medley Thompson (Michelle) of Ashland, Jeremy Thompson of Rush, Kara Feller (Chris) of Rush and Karl Thompson (Eulala) of South Shore; his sister Karla Thomas (Jim) of Barnesville; and his grandchildren, Andrea, Emma, Chaney, Brynlee, Karson, Kailin and Evan. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
