He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby L Yates and Ina Mae Enyart Yates. He is survived by: his brother Gene Yates; his wife Ruth Ann Yates; his children, Shawn Yates of Ashland and Lisa Yates of Huntington; and his stepchildren, Lea Ann Harr (Tim) of South Shore, Tina Farr of South Shore and Randy Gordon of South Shore. He is also survived by three grandchildren, five step grandchildren, three step great grandchildren.
