He was predeceased by: his parents, Denver Sammons and Rosie Lee Vanover Sammons; his wife Phyllis Boyd Sammons; his son Kessie Sammons; and his grandson Zach Osborne.
He is survived by: his children, Denny Sammons (Stacey "Sally") of Rush, KY and Missy Blackburn (Rick) of Louisa, KY; his grandchildren, Caity Sammons (Zach), Citori Branham, Wyatt Branham, Hannah Homan (Eric), Brandi Sparks (Brandon), Tyler Blackburn and Michael Blackburn; his partner Jackie Kidd; his partner's children, Shelby (Rob), Ethan, Aurora of Anchorage, AK, Jon, Jaxson, Jameson of Mansfield, OH and Matthew of Perrysburg, OH.; and his close friends, Kathy, Wayne Felty, Marine and Billy Shaw. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
