It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Maynard of Rush, Kentucky, born in Ashland, Kentucky, who passed away on October 27, 2021, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Claren Fred and Phyllis Ann Nichols Maynard; and his sister-in-law Joann Maynard. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Kouns Maynard; his children, Gary E. Jr. Maynard (Shanna) of Westwood, KY, Bradley Kouns of Rush, KY and Samantha Ann Maynard (Jacob Minix) of Catlettsburg, KY; his siblings, Tim Maynard of Crosby, TN, Lawrence Maynard of Lexington, KY and Peggy Page of Summit, KY; and his grandchildren, Allison, Kendra, Katie, Colton, Mason and Elijah.
