It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Ray Ison of Rush, Kentucky, who passed away on March 14, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Isaac Ison and Jewell Holbrook Ison; his siblings, James Randall Ison, Reuben Ison, Jr. and Kathy Williamson; his nephews, Jamie Ison and Jeff Ison; and his niece Emily Ison.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Ison; his children, James Douglas Ison (Jennifer) of Louisa, KY, Amity Hinkle (Jason) of Rush, KY, Michelle Wright (Steve) of Blaine, KY, Kim Fouch (Jay) of Coshocton, OH, April Gibson of Rush, KY, Savannah Gibson of Rush, KY and Brooklyn Ison of Rush, KY.; his close friend David Accord; his siblings, Ellen Templeman of Columbus, OH, Ella Brown of Fairborn, OH, Anna Ison of Ashland, KY, Velta Blevins (Darrell) of Middletown, OH and David Ison (Freda) of Prichard, WV; and his grandchildren, Kaylee Ison (Brandon), Brittney Hensley (CJ), Sydney Naylor (Gage), Steve "Doodle" Wright (Brianna), Brooklyn Prater (Chris), Preston Wright (Selena), Dennis Adkins, Riccilynn Taylor (Jordon) and Zach Fouch. He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews he loved.
