He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Edward Salyers, Sr. and Betty May Hutchison Salyers; his children, Charles V. Salyers, Jr. and Tammy Faye Salyers; his son-in-law William J. Sparks; and his sisters, Vicki Rucker and Rita Kirk.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Darlene Fryer Salyers; his children, Joey Salyers (Diana) of Rush and Christy Ann Sparks of Rush; and his brother Paul "Butch" Salyers, Jr. of Rush. He is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
