He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Atwell and Bertie Atwell; and his son Steven Atwell. He is survived by: his wife Lorri Atwell; his children, Stacey Atwell-Dille (Barry) and Austin Atwell (Hannah); his grandchildren, Morgan Atwell, Kali Dille, Landon Dille, Hayden Dille, Jaxson Dille, Silas Atwell, Titus Atwell and Jayvian "Jack" Lee; his sister Lisa Tobin (Michael); his niece Melissa Tobin; his nephews, Tyler, Hunter and J. Robert Lindsey; and his sister-in-law P. J. Lindsey (late Bobby).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 8:00 AM and from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Winn Funeral Home (210 Maple Ave, Horse Cave, KY 42749). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.
