He is survived by: his wife Trennia Goldsmith Hedges; his children, Tabitha Hedges of Louisville, Raymond Lee Hedges, Jr. of Indiana, Brandy Garrett (Patrick) of Indiana, Sara Wells (Josh) of Bullitt County, Elizabeth Karr (Matthew) of Glasgow, Joni Lee (Tynan) of Chalybeate, Julie Jones (Isaac) of Roundhill and Samuel Hedges of Rocky Hill; his grandchildren, Kirsten Cummins, Tristen Cummins, Charity Garrett, Peyton Garrett, Aiden Holmes, Bentley Wells, Mattilynn Karr, Parker Wells, Atalaya Lee, Kingston Jones, Marley Jones, Axel Wells and Sage Jones; and his siblings, Jesse Hedges, Wayne Hedges, Ethel Lohden (Pat), Rita Hutto (Ricky) and Ruthie Crawford. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
