He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Ray Holbrooks and Opal Sexton Holbrooks; his sons, Walter Charles "Chucky" Holbrooks and Kerby Ray Holbrooks; and his siblings, Jerry, Grover Cleveland, James, Julian Holbrooks and Susie Holbrooks.

He is survived by: his son Gary Shawn Jones (Nathan Spence) of Dandridge, TN; his grandchildren, Austin Shawn Holbrooks, Jordan Charlie Paige Hobson, Abigail Morgan Jones, Micha Karalynn Jackson and Landon Gage Holbrooks; and his brothers, Eddie Holbrooks (Deidra) of Sevierville, TN, Malcom Holbrooks of Lookout, KY. and John Holbrooks of Lookout, KY..
