He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Kennard Prater; his children, Deward Prater, Kenneth Prater, Linda Finch, Steve Finch of West Liberty, KY, Mitchell Prater and Brenda Prater of Grassy Creek, KY; his grandchildren, Gretta, Freddie Hylton, Crystal, Adam Montgomery, Amanda, Brian Lee, Kim Peyton, Mike Hall, Michael and Faith Prater; his great grandchildren, Carla Hylton, Hunter Williams, Brittany Montgomery, Tanner Patrick, Matthew Hylton, Keyarin Montgomery, MaKayla Montgomery, Garrison Holliday, Alex Lee, Angel Montgomery, Kathryn Montgomery and Jon Montgomery; and his great great grandchildren, Lukas Montgomery, Korbin Montgomery and Bentley Williams. He is also survived by 5 children, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
