He was predeceased by: his father Albert Wayne Gibson; and his brothers, Billy Gibson and Buster Gibson. He is survived by: his fiancé Jamie Middleton of Rockholds, Kentucky; his sons, Joseph Gibson of Williamsburg, Joshua Gibson (Kimberly) of Corbin, Jermey Gibson (Rhonda) of Corbin and Donald Sturgill (Laura) of Corbin, Kentucky; his mother Barbara Quigley (Russell) of Dryden, Virginia; and his siblings, Frank Delbh (Angie) of Jonesville, Virginia and Carolyn Lambert of Jonesville, Virginia. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
