She was predeceased by: her parents, W. H. Finch (Willie) and Minnie Derman Finch; her husband E. M. Heard (Elijah); her son Russell Heard; her brothers, Loyd Finch and E. T. Finch; her granddaughter Simona Dee Heard; and her great grandchild Elijah Morgan Heard.
She is survived by: her son Maurice Heard (Rose); her daughter-in-law Frances Heard; her grandsons, Eric Heard (Jessica), Darwin Heard (Rhonda) and Bradley Heard; her great grandchildren, Ellis, Elivia, Elliott Heard, Jonathan and Bethany Heard; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Noah Rust and Addye Davenport. She is also survived by six nephews and nieces; ten great nephews and nieces; several great-great nephews and nieces; and one great-great-great niece.
