It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Jean Gillum (Rockfield, Kentucky), who passed away on January 8, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Luke Martin and Leora Bell Martin (Givens); her grandson Coyle Willhite; and her brothers, Bill, James, Sammy, Norman, Ellis and John Wesley Martin.
She is survived by: her sisters, Willie Mae Lockhart, Virginia Carroll, Wilma Carter, Pauline Gregory and Edra Dean Dodson; her husband Walter Joe Gillum of Rockfield; her children, James Thomason of Auburn and Lauri Mantlo (Ray) of Russellville; her sister Sue Alexander of Auburn; and her grandchildren, Jamie Thomason, John Tyler Willhite and Blake Thomason.
