He was predeceased by: his parents, Ardell "Red" Abbott and Mary Lou Pruitt Abbott; his grandson Talon Jones; and his sister Tamara Peters. He is survived by: his wife Linda Grubb Abbott of Rochester; his daughter Christie Hurt (Jerry) of Morgantown; his grandchildren, Houston Jones (Jazmin), Easton Jones and Bryleigh Jones; his stepgrandchildren, Jerri Forbes (Andrew) and Jaden Hurt; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Keegan and Levi Forbes; his siblings, Steve Abbott (Sue) and Sherry Ponder (Norm); and his friend Adeline Burden. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
