She was predeceased by: her parents, Mitch Scott and Bertha Elizabeth Mullins Scott; her former husband David Tackett; her husband Darlin Newsome; and her siblings, Carlos Scott and Geraldine Addington.
She is survived by: her brothers, Lear Scott of Beefhide, Tommy Scott (Mabelene) of Caney and Winfield Scott (Sheila) of Beefhide; and her stepchildren, Fayetta Newsome of Virgie, Starr Newsome of Virgie and James Newsome. She is also survived by five step grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren.
