He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Furru and Dolores Furru (Hirsch); his significant other Rick Furmann; his son Anthony Furru; and also, Becky Furmann and Mike Furru.
He is survived by: his husband William "Billy" Lanier of Paducah; his sons, David Furru (Anne) of Wauwatosa and Timothy Furru (Crystal Snyder) of Columbus, Ohio; his siblings, Eugene "Butch" Furru (Barbara) of Greenfield, Edward "Ned" Furru (Anne) of Waukesha, Patrick Furru (Barbra) of Mukwonago, Wisconsin, JoEllyn Kulasiewicz (Wayne) of Eau Claire and Rosemary Hayden (Randy) of Pheonix, Arizona.; his sister-in-law Christine Furru of Merritt Island; and his grandsons, Dan, Tom and Alex. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
