He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Patton and Faye Harden Patton; his son Aaron Joseph Patton; and his sisters, Betty Lou Mann and Alma Plummer.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Patton (Missy) of Richmond, KY and Amy Nicole Cunningham of Estill, KY; his brother Darrell Patton (Jayne) of Prestonsburg, KY; and his grandchildren, Courtney Combs (Trenton) and Timothy "Bo" Cunningham. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
