He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gedney Edward Mackey, Sr. (Louella Pearl Lyons) and Timothy; his wife Gail R. Mackey of Berea, KY; his sons, Matthew Scott Mackey of New York, Zachary Edward Mackey of New York and Alexander Tyler Mackey (Victoria) of New York; his stepdaughters, Jennifer Ann Cortez (George) of West Virginia and Carolyn Lee Erickson (Matthew) of Ohio; his siblings, Gedney Edward Mackey, Jr. (Mary Ann) of New York, Jill Hite (Donald) of New York, Erin Baxter of New York and Jonathan Mackey (Jane) of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Eli Mackey, Michell Lynn Pierce (Donavan), James Alexander Cortez, Holly Erickson, Ingrid Erickson and Anna Erickson; and his great grandchildren, Mary Pierce and Danny Pierce. He was also cherished by several Nieces, Nephews.
