He was predeceased by: his parents, Welby Smith and Bonnie Mae Woods Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, James "Boog" William Smith (Sue), Donald Ray Smith (Donna), Kenneth Smith (late Nan), Barry Dale Smith, Marsha K. Green (Richard), Rebecca Lynn Abner (Steve) and Anita Faye Jackson (late Larry). He is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
